RAUL SERRANO
Split Vision
November 26, 2022 - May 6, 2023
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 26, 3-5PM

Kerhonkson-based Raul Serrano uses an inventive visual language that seeks mystery, poetry and a constant shift of meaning through compositions that recall Renaissance, surrealist, and post-impressionist art.  The viewer is pulled toward dreamscapes, intense juxtapositions of incongruous objects against or within crowds and flows of bodies, human and animal. Uses of color and form create Kafkaesque challenges to the psyche, calling for visceral reaction or focused reflection, qualities often found in great art.

Gallery Hours:

Sat & Sun 11-4. Ring doorbell at other times (gallerist lives in the building).

Winter schedule in affect starting December 19: By appointment only
